The Kingdom

The word Kingdom does not, as we sometimes think, refer primarily to a geographical location – such as the United Kingdom, rather its real meaning is sovereignty or rule.

Perhaps one of the keys to understanding Jesus use of this term is to be found in the prayer which he taught his disciples - “Your Kingdom come, you will be done here on earth just as it is in heaven".

For his Kingdom to come the will of our Father God must be done. Therefor when his sovereignty, will and purpose is owned in a life – his Kingdom has, in some measure, come.

The coming of the Kingdom whether we see it in the past, present or future – has everything to do with his sovereignty in the lives of people and nations. His Kingdom (rule, authority and reign) is present whenever and wherever he becomes King.
